Visiting the Farm in the City
A few months back, we visited the Farm in The City. Yes, that is the name of the place. The Farm in The city is located at Taman Equine, Seri Kembangan — Just ‘behind’ Giant Seri Kembangan.
Mrs Tai have heard about the place a long time ago and we’ve been making plans to bring the whole family there. So, sometime in February this year, we managed to ‘find’ a good time. It was the Chinese New Year period, so most places in town should not be too crowded.
Farm in a city is like a zoo, but minus the big, wild animals like tigers and lions. Like what the name says, they have farm animals in the city. So we get farm animals and birds like the swan…
There are also a few not-really-farm animals like the sloth…
The Farm in the City does look small from the outside. But even a quick tour (we didn’t really stop long at each section) still took us more than 2 hours to complete. The boys definitely enjoyed themselves.
They got to pet some of the animals, got close to goats, tried their hands at fishing (netting fish from small drains) and even pony riding…
However, even though the Farm in the City is not as big as the zoo, their entry fee is similar to what Zoo Negara charges (I think it’s even more than Zoo Negara). We took the family package that included entry for 2 adults and 2 children that included some souvenirs and 2 pony rides for the children. It cost rm109.
But overall, we feel it was still worth it — for the really up-and-close experience with some of the animals.
