Affordable C65 Bluetooth speaker
A few weeks ago, we were taking a walk at Malaysia’s longest pasar malam (night market) in Setia Alam when the loud music from one stall attracted Gabriel’s attention. We walked over to check out the source of the music. We were surprised to be told that it was coming from this small speaker:
We were definitely impressed.
But since I already have a Xiaomi NFC Bluetooth speaker, there was no need to get another. So we started to walk away.
That was when I noticed Gabriel was looking “different”. He was still looking at the speaker.
I asked him why he would need it and he said he would like to listen to music. The mini sound system we have is not really within his reach.
We walked back to the stall and asked for the price. We were quoted RM65. Wow! And to think I paid RM110 for my Xiaomi speaker! Anyway, we managed to bargain down to RM55. 🙂
After a few hours of charging, we tested out the speaker.
As observed earlier, it is very loud. We tried playing from microSD card as well as USB thumb drive. Both worked well, though we noticed every now and then (especially when battery is low), the songs might skip a bit. I even paired the speaker with my phone and played some songs from my phone.
Amazing…! I think this is a good deal for RM55. I know we might be able to get it at a cheaper price, but well, rather than waste time and effort trying to source for the best deal, I think RM55 is a reasonable amount to pay for a “brandless” Bluetooth speaker.
If there’s one thing I don’t like about the speaker, it’s the built-in battery. I never like electronic stuff with built-in battery. It means I cannot replace it and when the battery is dead, very likely one will need to throw the speaker away.
Anyway, sharing more photos of the speaker…
