Palace of the Golden Horses
Back in July, we were offered a room at the Palace of the Golden Horses by my sister-in-law. We promptly accepted the offer since we figured it might be a good idea to let the kids have a night in a hotel — they have never stayed overnight in one before.
…though I have to also add that the place seems a bit run-down. One section of the hotel was undergoing major refurbishment.
Our room was actually quite “standard”. It was not special or different from the other hotels I have stayed in. In fact, I’d go on to add that some hotel rooms I have stayed in was actually better than this. But still, it was a good room… With this nice view:
Though we stayed overnight, somehow, the actual activity time at the hotel was not a lot. All I recall was, the kids spent a lot of time at the swimming pool. It is not a big pool, but there’s a wading pool for the kids to play in.
Anyway, I suspect the hotel is going through some changes in terms of branding and market focus. What I understand, some of the rooms are being bundled as part of wellness packages that they are selling. These packages would include access to their “wellness” facilities and services such as health screening and gym access.
