KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 6 — Pokemon Go is now available for download in Malaysia.

Malaysians woke up to the news that the hit augmented reality game by developer Niantic can now be downloaded on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store from today.

To be honest, I am not a fan of Pokemon. I have neither watched the cartoon series nor played the TCG (Trading Card Game). But I have heard of it and know what it is about.

However, I am a fan of AR (Augmented Reality) and I like what Niantic did with their game – Ingress.

I hope Pokemon Go will give AR the boost it deserves.
