Hello again…

Digi recently unveiled a new phone plan called the Digi Smart Plan 75.

For only RM75, subscriber will get 7GB of data, unlimited calls (exclude special numbers like 1800), 1 year of iFlix subscription, free access to Digi Music Freedom (music streaming service that includes provider like Spotify) and more.

I’m already loving this change to Digi — Previously I had very poor coverage in some parts of my small, humble home. Now, full bar everywhere… Sweet!

Only downside I can think of? No SMS bundled into this plan. Then again, there’s LINE, Whatsapp, etc… And heck why message when one can now call (for free)? 🙂

I know U Mobile has got a similar plan that is only RM70.

However, with just an extra RM5, I am assured of better (data) network coverage, which I personally feel, is very important. Case in point: Once my sister-in-law was stuck in a bad jam on the North-South highway. She was on the way back from Perak. Due to U Mobile’s limited coverage, she had no data and had no way of knowing how bad was the jam, etc… Waze was not working. She ended up having to call us and asking us to help find out more about that unusual jam.
