Char koay teow
I find the stall in Kuan Yew Coffeeshop, SS3 serves one of the better char koay teow in town.
The koay teow is fried just nice — not too wet and not too dry. The colour is just nice and the koay teow is still in strips. Personally, I find this to be very important. Those koay teow that is in tiny “broken” pieces usually gets an instant fail from me.
While the couple running this stall sells regular char koay teow, they will prepare the vegetarian one for me (basically kosong one). But it is still very good! 🙂
If you must know… I am a regular to this stall, having frequent it for like 10+ years now (I think). Sometimes I order the mixed version – koay teow + yellow noodles.
